Annual Lobster Boil
19 July 2018
John Crawford has once again generously offered his home as the setting for this very popular late afternoon/evening event that starts at 1630 (plan to arrive a little earlier to get set up) at 46 Beach Road in East Orleans. Come for a great outdoor fest of lobster (steaks for those who are not lobster aficionados), corn on the cob, cole slaw, drawn butter, and an ice cream dessert.
If you have not attended this event before, you owe it to yourself to come this year!
The logistics are formidable, and many volunteers are needed in several areas from traffic control to cleanup to make it a success. For example, carpooling is greatly encouraged, and you should bring your own chairs and folding table (if you have one). If you have a canopy, bring it along, and if you have a large lobster pot and gas burner, they're needed too! And, of course, BYOB.
The cost is $30 per person. It sounds perfunctory, but you also need to tell John your choice of lobster or steak! Contact him or Erika Kraft at 508-255-8554, or send John an email or Erika an email to register and make your preference known, to volunteer for one of the tasks, and for additional details that always come up when making an event like this a big success.
